TENUTA FIAMMENGA

Throughout the history of Tenuta Fiammenga, the intertwining of commerce, art and winemaking has created a legacy that transcends the centuries.
The deep connection with Flemish artists, crystallised in the bond between Pietro Jescot and Guglielmo Caccia, has defined the cultural identity of the estate since 1596, when Caccia's daughter, Theodora, was baptised with Jescot as her godfather, marking the beginning of a history steeped in art and commerce.
The estate, proudly named ‘La Cascina Fiammenga’ in honour of Pietro Jescot, the Flemish tapestry merchant who lived there in the late 1600s and inspired its name and essence, has become a place where a passion for art and viticulture merge into a single, harmonious landscape.
The history of Jescot and Caccia, as documented in records and stories, embodies the value of a tradition that sees art not only as inspiration but as a fundamental pillar of regional identity.
The arrival of the Sartirano family marked a new chapter for Tenuta Fiammenga, bringing a breath of innovation while remaining faithful to the region's rich cultural and wine-making heritage.
With ambitions focused as much on restoring and enhancing the vineyards as on renovating the farmhouse to improve its hospitality facilities, the Sartiranos have strengthened their bond with the land and its history.
Under the guidance of Paolo and Guido Sartirano, La Fiammenga has been transformed into a wine destination that looks to the future without forgetting the past. Through replanting the vineyards and paying particular attention to producing wines that reflect the originality and quality of Monferrato, the Sartiranos have demonstrated how it is possible to combine tradition and innovation.
Today, Tenuta Fiammenga continues to be a living symbol of how history, art and viticulture can intertwine to create wines that are not only expressions of a territory but also witnesses to a rich cultural heritage. With every sip of its wines, La Fiammenga invites you on a journey through the centuries, offering an experience that is both a tribute to the past and a taste of the infinite possibilities of the future.
